How to play

Four players get 13 cards each. Be the first to get rid of them all.
Cards rank 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 J Q K A 2 — the 2 is the highest card. When two cards have the same rank the suit decides: ♠ beats ♥ beats ♣ beats ♦.
Whoever holds the 3♦ starts the round, and their first play must contain it.
Play a single, a pair, a triple or a five-card poker hand. Everyone after you must beat it with the same number of cards, or pass.
Five-card hands rank: straight < flush < full house < four of a kind (plus any fifth card) < straight flush.
Straights run in normal card order, so the ace may be high (10-J-Q-K-A, the best straight) or low (A-2-3-4-5, the worst). Straights are compared by their top card, flushes by suit first and then the top card, a full house by its triple and four of a kind by its quad.
Once everyone else passes, the last player to lay cards starts a fresh trick with anything they like.
The round ends the moment someone plays their last card. Everyone else scores a point for every card still in their hand — two a card if ten or more are left. Rounds keep coming until somebody reaches 50 points; whoever has the fewest then wins the match.
How the computer plays: it only sees its own cards and what has been played. It splits its hand into the fewest plays it can, hangs on to the cards nothing can beat, spends its cheapest cards first, and on Hard it counts what is still out there, weighs the odds a play survives, and shuts out a player who is close to going out — including by leading more cards than they hold.
Online friend sends a link; the other two seats are played by the computer on the host's device. The deal is made by both devices together — each adds a secret number, sealed with a cryptographic hash before the other's is seen — so neither player can pick the deal, and at the end of every round your device checks the deal and every card played against that promise.
